About Hazel Cookes

My love for baking and cake design began when I was a young girl, and what started as a weekly fun thing to do soon became a passion that I've cherished and developed every since. My first design and commission for a 25th anniversary cake came whilst I was still at school, and ever since that day I seem to have been in constant demand producing special occasion cakes which have been kindly described as "stunning" and "delightful" by my clients.
- Hazel Cooke

I specialise in producing beautiful wedding cakes, which are sensitively decorated with exquisitely detailed edible flowers that are often mistaken for the real thing!

However, as you can see from the Gallery, I also design and bake a wide range of bespoke cakes for any occasion - each one meeting the client's specification, and all of them with the WOW factor!

Over the years I've had the wonderful chance to watch couples and their wedding plans grow from their secret smile for each other to the moment they say I do and beyond.

Just as relationships grow in love - so do the cakes I bake.  A thought blossoms into exciting designs.  Starting with a single ingredient bit by bit more is added - a dash of sugar, eggs, butter & flour, & then some warmth by baking it.  I then watch it rise and grow into something beautiful and delicious.  So to for my Bride and Groom - the journey they take, with their wedding day as the first destination is something beautiful to witness.

One of the greatest delights I have is experiencing a client's elated reaction on seeing their finished cake; whether it is a Bride and Groom thinking the flower decorations were provided by their florist, or a child wanting to hug their 'teddy' because they think it's real!

When this happens I truly know that my passion for cake design has led to a job well done, and gives me a huge feeling of pleasure and satisfaction that is shared by all our clients.

Let me help make your occasion extra special, because I know that every cake has a story to tell.
